Digital pharmacy platform Healthera has announced a partnership with a health record app it says will allow the app’s 1.5 million users to book Pharmacy First consultations with its more than 1,700 partner pharmacies.

Healthera said that from today (July 30), the integration of its offer with the Evergreen Life app - which allows users to view their health records and access GP services - will allow app users to search for nearby Healthera partner pharmacies, view appointment availability “in real time” and book services such as Pharmacy First.

The company claimed the move could eventually enable “millions of patients” to book remote and in-person pharmacy consultations directly through the app.

“The partnership is also expected to expand through GP practices using Evergreen's askmyGP digital triage tool, with the potential to reach up to 3.5 million users as more sites adopt the service,” the companies explained in a joint statement.

The companies said they aim “to improve access for patients while helping pharmacies make better use of available appointment capacity”.

Healthera describes itself as providing a “digital front door” to its partner pharmacies, allowing patients to request repeat prescriptions and book service consultations via its online platform. It also provides a directory of all pharmacies in England, including non-partner pharmacies.

Late 2025 saw controversy erupt over Healthera’s refusal to allow pharmacies to have their listing removed, leading to the company agreeing to remove a hyperlink that directed users from non-participating pharmacies to one of its members.

Healthera CEO Quintus Liu commented: "Community pharmacies have the clinical expertise and capacity to treat many common conditions, yet too many patients still default to contacting their GP first.

“By bringing Pharmacy First directly into Evergreen Life, we're making pharmacies more visible and accessible, helping patients receive care sooner while supporting the NHS to use its resources more effectively.”

Evergreen Life executive chairman Stephen Critchlow said: "Patients increasingly expect healthcare to be as easy to access as other digital services.

“By partnering with Healthera, we're making it simpler for millions of people to connect with community pharmacies and receive timely care when they need it.”
